After the rains and unseasonably warm weather earlier this week, temperatures dropped last night with low of 27F and predicted high of 47F. But, that isn't stopping the movement toward spring.
We have probably thousands of daffodils planted along the meadow bank and in several other areas on the property. This year it looks like we'll have the first blooms before January is over. It seems early, but daffodils always make me smile.
Ah - "the force that through the green fuse drives the flower" - isn't it just wonderful to see these first shoots coming through? However long we have to wait to see the yellow trumpets, the shoots tell us that spring is on the way.
I LOVE these pictures full of hope!
